So I was somewhat stuck on my taste of suits, after a few years of learning about style and tailoring, I was set that I enjoyed an italian cut, peak lapels and double vents. My choice of collas was spread almost cutaway with middle width ties 2 1/2 inches or so, I like a dimple on them a subtle pocket square (mad men style).
I quit wearing tie bars sometime this year, I had a vintage collection of around 23 of them, I just enjoyed my ties better without them, the specifications I mentioned above though is what I got from a few people I admire from films and shows.
Neil Caffrey (white collar) Ari gold ( entourage ) Archer, and of course James Bond, more specifically Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace (which I did like).
However in skyfall -> Relax there's no spoilers-> despite having Tom Ford make the suits (he's known for wide peak lapes), all of his suits (save from his amazing midnight shawl lapel tux) on Skyfall are as follows:
Notch lapel (maybe slim, can't tell) single vents, amazing fit I'll give you that. The shirts are blue but they also are narrow collars with not collar bars but a fabric conector ( I'm not quite sure what they're called) , the suits look great but it's a drastic change from his peak lapels on Quatum and Casino Royale.
Also he wears this great Peacoat http://www.gq.com/style/blogs/the-gq-eye/2012/10/james-bond-gets-his-bama-on-in-skyfall-thanks-to-billy-reid.html
Anyhow I am now free to play the spectrum of suits I can apreciate, I was just wondering which one you preferred.
